Takes a long time, about 15 min for 1.8G flash drive. Can't tell how many retries being done or what patterns tested. It would be nice if this info was provided.

One other thing it needs is to show whether or not bad sectors are marked bad and unused; my drive didn't fail, so I didn't get to see if it reports this. It may depend on the USB controller & FW.

It's very quick and to the point. Does excellent scans and keeps you informed the whole time.

Didn't have an option to run the test a specified number of times. It may have it, but I didn't see it on the screen.
Summary
This is a must-have if you purchase a new flash drive of any sort. I had one 2GB thumb drive that had a bad spot at 1.7GB. I lost everything on it. Had I used this utility first, that would have been a very different story. Having stepped on that rake before, I now run this utility a couple of times on every new flash device I purchase, and recommend it to all my friends.
